Email to case does not properly pick up Pop emails. After much research, it appears that the database columns that stores the pop server address, email and password are doing a blank fill or adding a tab character at the end of the data. This is only true for those who have done a upgrade from a previous version where these database columns where upgraded and not part of the original seed database or created with SQL.
The problem may also come from IE and not proper handling of single line text box and blank filling? In either case the trim() functions will handle this issue if there are trailing spaces or tabs after the hostname, user name or password.
To resolve this problem, get a current version of the EmailToCase.asp function available in our V9 version server at:
We have applied a fix to the EmailToCase.asp function that performs a trim() function on those variables before calling the Anpop.dll to remove any extra spaces.
