Welcome to the Reservation+Center Installation and Configuration guide. This document only contains the information necessary to install and configure the Reservation+Center component.
For complete information user information about the Reservation+Center, please refer to the Reservation Center User Guide (Located in the Documentation subdirectory of the Web+Center folder. By default, the Web+Center application installs into the directory of:
C:\Program Files\Internet
Software Sciences\Web+Center 5.0\
The Reservation+Center is an optional component to the Web+Center and the Web+Center Help Desk/CRM system must be completely installed first. Please reference other Web+Center documents for complete information on installing the Web+Center software.

What is Reservation+Center?
The Reservation+Center is an additional component that can be added to the Web+Center suite of Help Desk and Sales CRM application that creates an resource reservation system. The Reservation+Center application is entirely a web-based application where the software is installed on one machine (typically Windows 2000/2003 or XP Pro ) and then clients access the application through any web browser (IE or Netscape or others) over the network just like any website.
Once the Reservation+Center has been purchased, you will be given a URL to download the Reservation+Center installer file (Reservationcenter50.exe) Download the Reservation+Center self-extracting executable installation program (Reservationcenter50.exe) and store it on your local drive.
· Once installation executable is downloaded to a local directory, run the application by selecting Start -> Run -> Browse and select the executable file where you just downloaded.
· It is important that you install the Reservation center into the same Web+Center directory tree. By default, the Web+Center application installs into:

· The Reservation+Center installer will create a new subdirectory called Reservationcenter at the same level as the other application directories (techcenter, pocketcenter, customercenter).
· The Reservation+center installer will also add some file to the existing web+center directories including adding some new graphics and language files into the Language sub directory and the a user guide and installation guide into the documentation directory.

Complete all of the
installation steps. The Web+Center
installation program only creates directories and places files into those
directories. Web+Center will not run until the remaining configuration steps
listed below are completed.
To enable users to find the Reservation+Center application running on the webserver, one must configure one additional new virtual directories on the webserver.

Where C:\<YourWebCenterDirectory> is the directory you selected to put your Web+Center installation.
Typically, your WebCenterDirectory is located under c:\Program Files\Internet Software Sciences\Web+Center 5.0\
To configure these virtual directories with Internet Information Services:

Click on the (+) sign to expand the tree of the local
computer.

Under the Default Web site (other whatever site you wish
to install Web+Center under), perform a right mouse click and select the New…
Virtual Directory… option.

The Reservation+Center is an additional component to the Web+Center application and it requires that the Web+Center exists.
Follow the appropriate set of instructions below to update your Web+Center database with the new Reservation+Center database tables.
Adding
Reservation+Center tables for SQL*Server Users
Step 3.1 - Select the SQL*Server Enterprise Manager
Step 3.2 - Select the Tools… SQL Server Query Analyzer menu option and connect to your SQL*Server
Step 3.3 - Select the File … Open Menu option and navigate to the
C:\program files\Internet Software Sciences\Web+Center 5.0 \database directory and select the CreateReservationcenterdb50.sql SQL script.
Step 3.4 IMPORTANT: Select the database you want to run this query against. In the DB: drop down list on the right hand side of the Query analyzer tool bar, select the WebCenter50 database.
Step 3.5 – Press the green arrow (Query…Execute Menu Option) to build all of the tables and database settings.
· Click Finish. You can press the Test button to verify that your ODBC connection is working.
· Click OK on the ODBC Data Source Administrator window to exit out of the ODBC settings.
Adding Reservation+Center Tables for Access Users
To upgrade the Reservation+center tables to the Web+Center Access file,
run the following ASP located in the Reservationcenter by entering in a browser
the following URL:
http://localhost/Reservation50/AddReservationCenter50Tables.asp
Where Localhost can be replaced by a machine name or URL is access this
script from another machine other than the webserver itself.
This should run one web page that displays the SQL to add 3 new table to
the webcenter50.mdb database file.
To access the Reservation+Center application, enter the following URL into your web browser:
http://<YourHostName>/Reservation50/
where <YourHostName> is either:
· your local machine name
· Your domain name (www.mycompany.com)
· The word “localhost” if browsing on the same machine as the server
The same Reservation+Center login screen is used by both
customer and technician accounts. To
login in as a customer, use the Customer username and password. You must create your own customer accounts.
To login as the Reservation center supervisor, login using a technician account
configured in the Web+Center Tech+Center application.
Web+Center comes configured with (3) default tech staff accounts with the following levels of permissions:

These default tech staff accounts are automatically available with the initial seed database. They should only be used to access the system initially and they should be immediately modified or deleted once other tech accounts are created. Refer to the Web+Center Users Guide on how to edit or add Tech+Center accounts.
Included in the documentation directory is a Reservation+Center user guide (ReservationCenterUserGuide.doc). Please refer to this document on how to configure and run the Reservation+Center application.
